I had a nice time today. I played music with some old timer's and my cousin-in-law's. I have to say it was pretty fun. My husband let his Uncle be the "star" today...lol...I was shocked about that. We played all the gospil blue grass Those old folks knew..and then some song's like "Little cabin home on the hill" and "Mule Skinner Blue's" By Bill Monroe..The older men did most the singing. I'm alway's the rhythm and I harmonized some with them. Yes it was a toe tapping day.
When I got home I got out the trusty treasure finder I got for Christmas and I found the money I threw in the grass yesterday!..Yes I was happy. I omitted the fact to my husband that I had thrown it in the yard the day before. So he got pretty intrested and said that punny little hand shovel I had just wouldn't do to dig up treasure and went and got a real shovel from the barn. Now He has insisted that he do all the digging. I know it look's like I have tricked him into doing all the work...ok....I have tricked him into doing all the work...BUT in my defence I plan on sharing ALL the treasure with him..Yes he get's half the bottle cap's too.So far I have found 3 nails,4 pull tab's and a quarter.That's not counting the money I threw down either...I'm still having fun and I think I want to find a cannon ball...I hear a pretty intense battle durring the civil war happened a few miles away..well more than a "few" miles but it's driving distance...And now that I have a "real" shovel who know's...

Today I have been "TOLD" by my husband that we are going to his family's to play music with them...I'm the only one that know's how to play the mandolin so I'm fucking stuck going!..Let me say that I am not a mandolin player...I am a guitar player. But I'm alway's stuck playing the mandolin as "back up" for my husband!..Why?...Because he is the STAR! and I am just an extra...He soakes up all the damn sunshine!...Ever bit of it!

Now before I say what was on the table for dinner yesterday let me first say that my family hasn't been all that good this year...I haven't either but I was the one cooking the food..First, all the vegetables came from a can...there was NO turkey, because at Thanksgiving someone had the NERVE to say it sucked..The ham was not one of those nice honey glazed like you might have saw on your own table..Nope..I purposely let my husband pick it out this year because I knew he would try to save money and come back with the cheapest can of what-ever he could find...and I was right.I said nothing as I popped our ham out of it's can like a huge piece of Spam. I was really smiling at dinner..and it wasn't because of the food!..My husband wanted to choke on his "Spam" but he couldn't complain because he him self had bought it..That's what had made me smile.. ..I'm lucky we didn't have any company or I would have done my usual thing...all the hard work that most of ya'll did..instead I had it easy for a change and I loved it. Today I tryed one last time to make my husband eat left over's...he he...he told me he "wished" he could but he had already gave it to the dog's...I guess he wont be buying another ham from the Dollar general Store.

ok.......There's no treasure in my back yard..But I will say I found an assortment of trash and I had fun doing it..HA HA...Really!..I think that my Son did a good Job on my gift this year...While I was in the back Yard my husband yelled out..(so loud I think my Mother heard it in Heaven)...HEY!!!! DIDN'T YOU GET A CROCK POT FOR CHRISTMAS?...WHY AINT YA USING IT?!"... ...I think he was hungry...Oh well....there's plenty from yesterday..and I'll tell you what that is later...he he......

OK....this might sound a little crazy but I got a medal detector for Christmas and I think I like it...When I first rip'd the paper off the box I thought.."what the @$^% is this?"...and then I saw on the box a lady looking for treasure... This might be fun. I put it together and I've been looking at it siting on the chair all morning long...I'm pretty sure there's no treasure under the chair.
My daughter called and said she went gambling for christmas and left my grand daughter with a sitter..

I would like to know what was wrong with her comming to my house for the holiday...I think it's my daughter's way of slapping me in the face with out using her hand...OHHHH, I am trying so hard not to Judge her... How could she gamble at 19?..I'm still thinking on that one...
Well...I think I'll take my little shovel and go out with my treasure hunter...he he....wish me luck..I'm sure I'm going to need it...
